Sunny Wessman
Born and raised in Sonoma County, Sunny grew up influenced by wine country where her curiosity for wine began at an early age. As a kid, she stomped grapes to help her dad and his friends produce small-batch wines in their garage. Her dad had a small cellar in the garage, and Sunny would always go down to help pick wines for special occasions or even just family dinners.
As a foodie and experimenter of flavors, Sunny enjoys exploring pairings that bring out the best in both wine and food. Whether it’s trying new foods at restaurants or getting new ingredients to try at home, she’s always open to things. Her dad used to say, “You have to try everything once. You never know what you’re going to think!” She carries that perspective through life and on wines as well.
Over time she developed a hands-on appreciation for the craft and how it brought people together.
Sunny worked in the tasting room at Francis Ford Coppola Winery for over a year, where she grew her wine knowledge and developed great guest connections. Her time there sparked a passion for creating lasting relationships with guests and wanted to continue building those connections.
Outside of the wine industry, Sunny loves to stay on the move. She enjoys hiking around Sonoma County and staying active however she can. She also thinks a glass of wine always feels well deserved afterwards.
As the Direct Sales Representative at Black Stallion Winery, Sunny enjoys delivering a highly personalized experience for every guest she helps. Whether she’s customizing wine orders, curating thoughtful gifts, or helping guests discover new favorites, she is dedicated to making each interaction seamless and memorable.
She believes wine is ultimately about connection and takes pride in helping others find the wines that bring them together with the people and moments that matter most.
