2013 Barrel Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2013 Barrel Reserve opens with aromas of blackberry jam, nutmeg and savory spices. Flavors of lingonberry, toffee and baking spice intermingle to create a layered palate. The body of the wine is juicy and chewy with an enduring finish.
The 2013 vintage was an exceptional growing season. 2013 growing season started earlier due to very little rainfall and warmer temperatures in the winter. Moderate warmth throughout the entire growing season resulted in consistent growth and harvest being on schedule for October.
Our 2013 Barrel Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from many different high quality AVAs throughout the Napa Valley. With the wide range to choose from we then were able to pick high quality barrels from each one. High elevation AVAs in the blend brings incredible depth and high concentration. Valley floor vineyards bring the wine together to balance the concentration with vibrant acidity.
The hearty structure of this wine is perfect for robust dishes such as garlic rubbed leg of lamb with leeks or beef tenderloin with blueberry sauce.
