Description
Our Albariño is grown in a single vineyard block located in the hills overlooking San Pablo Bay in the southern Napa Valley. This vineyard is heavily influenced by the wind and cool climate. The wind causes the vines to focus on producing flavor, not sugar, resulting in a highly concentrated wine with low alcohol. The cool temperatures of the area help the grapes retain a high level of their natural acidity.
2021 was a beautiful vintage overall, although significantly affected by the ongoing drought. The weather throughout the growing season was moderate and even, with no major heat spikes. The drought caused vines to grow less crop than usual, with smaller clusters, smaller berries, and fewer clusters overall.
