WINEMAKER’S NOTES
Los Carneros is one of Napa Valley’s coolest growing regions with marine influences of both morning fog and afternoon wind originating from the San Pablo Bay. These climatic conditions work to synergistically moderate temperature. Due to its location near the San Pablo Bay, the soil found at Poseidon Vineyard are clay and loam, resulting in vines struggling to retain water and poor fertility. Due to the soil and climate, the Poseidon Vineyard produces grapes with ripe fruit characteristics, fantastic balance and finesse.
